How It All Began

Travelling is our passion. We have travelled to almost the entire world, but Gambia is the one that captured our hearts the most.

During one of our holidays, we met Yaya, a local taxi driver. A simple meeting turned into a sincere friendship, and thanks to him, we got to know Gambia differently than ordinary tourists – experiencing its culture, daily life, and warm-hearted people.

That was when we understood why Gambia is called "The Smiling Coast of Africa". It's not just about beautiful beaches, sun, and palm trees, but above all about the local people, their smiles, hospitality, and joy of life.

This friendship awakened in us the desire to do more than just visit Gambia for a holiday. As a family, we decided to turn our love for this country into a shared dream – helping local people and allowing you to experience Gambia just as we did.

We invested in our own vehicles and created job opportunities for local drivers so they can support their families and build a better future.

Gambia Travel was born out of friendship, love for Gambia, and the desire to share its beauty, culture, and true everyday life. We don't just want to show you tourist spots, but also hidden corners and experiences you might miss on a regular holiday.
